Introducing “Victorious Living Solutions” and other updates…
Well, we are 2 weeks into 2018 and #TeamYoung has hit the ground running! We re-launched the new www.nikeyayoung.com web site on January 1st, and with it a new venture for me as a Certified Life Coach! Anyone who TRULY knows me, knows that becoming a life coach isn’t a “stretch” for me at all! LOL! After all, I graduated with a degree in Psychology from DePaul University, and received my Master’s in Special Education, and then went on to become a Special Education teacher for 5 years. I have always been fully committed to personal growth, and inspiring others whenever possible to live victoriously as well, whether that be through my 2013 debut album “Victorious One” or my debut book “Virtue Chic: Classy Takes Center Stage” which was released in October 2017 & is available NOW on Amazon, Kindle, and Barnes and Noble! My work with my Blog/Brand virtue chic.net has been my greatest inspiration for launching my life coaching business where I provide “Victorious Living Solutions” for millennial women. Think of me as your slightly older, cool big sister here to tell you that “You’ve got this!” And, it’s totally ok that you don’t have your life all figured out just yet! I am here to guide you through mental blocks, negative self-talk, limiting beliefs, and any other obstacles that may be keeping you from becoming all that God has called you to be! I have individual sessions and group sessions available! My group session, the Virtue Chic Diva Activation Session, consists of 2 to 6 people and is just $55 per person! It includes light refreshments, coaching exercises, and coming up with an action plan to help you get started on your goals! I will also check-in/follow up with you via e-mail post session to monitor your progress and add you to a Facebook group for continued encouragement.
I have been busy doing several cool media appearances while promoting the Virtue Chic book! Last Wednesday, my interview with Loni Swain aired on The Loni Swain Show podcast. Many Chicagoans remember her from her tenure at WGCI. Well, Loni has returned to her native Louisiana and is doing her thing on a national level now! Anyhoo, we had a GREAT interview, which you can check out on Apple podcasts, or on her website: https://www.loniswain.com/blog2/2018/1/9/nikeya-young-is-on-a-mission-to-inspire-women-to-love-god-themselves-each-other
I also had the opportunity to be featured on ladybossblogger.com before the end of 2017. Here’s the link to that interview: https://ladybossblogger.com/nikeya-young-mission-make-virtuous-woman-chic/ .
I know that some of you might be thinking “But what about acting, singing, & modeling? Does this mean you’re retiring from your entertainment career”? Nope. I am still agency-signed, & my SAG/AFTRA dues are current! LOL! One of the challenges of being multi-talented is determining what to focus in on at any given time. I have chosen to focus on Virtue Chic and helping others to live their best life…while I do the same :-)! I am absolutely THRILLED about my journey and I plan to keep you updated along the way!
In 2017, I did a LOT of live videos on Periscope and Facebook with my “Hump Day Help” and Read2Lead broadcasts. I loved connecting with people online, but it got to be a LOT to manage 2 weekly broadcasts, prepare for a book launch, then promote said book, all while managing a toddler at the same time! I am prayerfully considering whether or not I will return to live broadcasting, but for now, content-wise, I am going to focus on my Virtue Chic TV (VCTV) YouTube channel, and being more consistent with my written blogs both HERE & on my other site www.virtuechic.net! So instead of a new #HumpDayHelp live video on Periscope, I will post a new inspirational blog each Wednesday (starting next week) with tips to inspire you to Live Victoriously!
Whew! That was a lot, but I have been a busy bee getting things established so that my 2018 runs like a well-oiled machine!
